Need ideas for lifting our 2012 X17Z

Hello! We acquired a 2012 X17Z from a family member. It's in great shape and we love the design, with the exception of the ground clearance--it sits so low!!

We live in a hilly area of NW Arkansas and I'm constantly worrying about dragging the trailer or where we can go due to how low it sits. And we can't even get it up our driveway to park it off the street while we're prepping/loading for camp.

I'd like to lift it 4-6" or so, which would allow me to also put on some taller tires and get it into a more comfortable ground clearance.

I've taken some pics of the axle. Any help in identifying the axle and compatible lift kit or pictures/idea on how you've lifted yours would be sincerely appreciated!

I'm open to hiring a welder to do it locally if we had a path we could follow.

Hey! I have a 2018 so not the same axle setup, I just did a simple weld on kit on mine for about 5-1/2" of lift. I think they only have 2" lifts for your model, such as # K71-707-01 from e- trailer. Or something custom.

X2. I see in your 1st image your tire looks low. Make sure to always run max tire pressure. This will help with handling and more clearance. If I recall correctly we have 13" tires on our 2012's. You can also increase the tire size up one size to 14".

Fantastic! This is perfect!

And yes, tires are low. Getting prepared for the season so will air them up before we head out. Thanks!

I have a 2014 and we did the K71-707-01--- Dexter Torflex Lift Kit #10 Torflex Axles which gives you a 2-5/8" Lift. It's not the lift amount you are asking for though. Let us know what you ended up going with.

I purchased that same kit, unfortunately it will not work with this axle. I have the exact same setup and I have been looking for a solution. Ground clearance is very low..
