New to me 2006 18F EXP

Hi All,

Just wanted to say hello, and anxious to pick up a new-to-me 18F tomorrow.

Read a lot of great information on the forum over the last week and can't wait for the season to begin up here in snowy Canada.

Unfortunately all the info has lead to a long list of wants as well! Popup Gizmo's and the lot of things.

Regardless, coming from tent camping it will be much easier to keep my GF and daughter warm in our new Jayco.

Thanks guys. My TV is a 2011 Grand Cherokee with the 5.7 Hemi. Seemed to tow pretty good (from the limited towing experience I have) in the short trip from the previous owners place to the in-laws farm where we will be storing until the season starts. The only snag was the hitch ball being about 6 inches too high making the trailer quite low in the rear while towing. Will remedy that with a new set up but I am still debating a weight distribution and sway control hitch vs. just my weight carrying hitch.

The Jeep owners manual states anything over 3500 lbs requires a WDH so I am borderline with the 3750 GVWR of the Jayco. I have had my eye on the Andersen No-Sway but for the $500 price tag I'd like to be sure before pulling that trigger. Maybe the discussion is best served by another thread.

Will work on getting some pics up of the TV and TT. Other than that, it's hurry up and wait for some warm weather so I can de-winterize this thing and put it to some use!

We have a 2005 bought new. I have never seen a small trailer with the room and storage of the 18 f.We've been looking to update to new but Jayco just doesn't build anything that we like. Too bad I may have to jump the fence. Anyway we love our 18f.

Just brought home the exact same hybrid! Using a 2012 liberty as a tow vehicle. Bought the WDH and sway from previous owner for an extra $200. Bringing it home I had to make a detour, so all in we drove it 250km. No issues. Zero sway. Was really surprised how well the Jeep did being that the wheel base is so short I expected it to be awful. Now if the weather would cooperate we might actually get to go somewhere with it!!
