New Z19 Home At Last
I got to pick up my new 2011 Z19 today. With the EZ 2 hitch, and the P3 controller, it was a great tow home after having a great lunch at Denny's after the setup and walk through. We seen 7 different rainbows on the hour and a half tow home. I can't wait to take it for its shakedown run in a couple of weeks. I was a little disapointed that it did not come with propane covers, but that's not bad. It has every option I could ever want, except power leveling jacks, but that's what an 19.2 volt drill is for .

The only bad thing about the trip home was the RV dealership did not grease the ball. It took 30 minutes to get it loose, between spraying lube up in the ball, a pry bar, jumping up and down on the bumper by two people and putting the truck in gear rocking it back and forth. I was a little upset about that one. But its good now.

Great trailer! I had the same problem getting trailer off ball first time. A little pubes goes a long way!!!

One problem I did have was my truck was running hot on the drive home. I need to get that sorted out before I load everything down. But two weeks, and its time to hit the road. I can't wait.

Nice looking rig! Do not sweat the LP tank cover, only about 30 bucks. Any idea why the truck was running hot?

And as far as the jacks are concerned, that is what kids are for. The big dodge should not have even felt the trailer behind it. I wonder if the running warm has to do with the style of grill hampering air flow. I personally hate all thost insert things and some aftermarket grills as they cut down on airflow

I just ordered a cover from CW with the opening top for 25.00.
For the over heating, I am going to work on that this week. I was at dry weight, and running 60-65 on just mild to moderate hills on the interstate. My truck has the 320hp 4.7L engine that came out in 08. My temps were sustained on the gauge at about 260, or 3/4 of the way up. I am either going to get the rad flushed and refilled this week, or there was a nice sale on Tundra's with a 5.7L for 29K, brand new. Wife is going to kill me lol. When I add everything up, the 11 model X19 weighs more than the others by 420lbs for some reason. Even the 12 models are weighing in less. They are not as fancy, with the fake smoked cabinet doors, and a couple of small things, but it does weigh less. Any how, I am going to be at my weight limit by the time I get fire wood, and everything else, will hit my 6K limit.
I was curious about the grill too.

I dont think a flush will do anything, truck is to new to have problems. I pull the same trailer with a colorado with the 3.7l inline 5cyl. And my gauge does not see over normal. That grill realy looks restrictive. I would remove it and go for another road trip with it wide open to try it out. Your dry weight is 3660 right? That big truck is 6k my little truck is 5500, never did the weight thing to see how close we are.

Its the 20" rims. They cut 1K off your tow weight.

Overheating solved lol. I just dropped the Dodge for a fully loaded Tundra SR5.

We have the same 19h 2011 and tow with a 2005 Jepp liberty no problems either

Great trailer. I wanted that one, but had to settle for the 16' Sport 165.
I only have a 4Runner, so didn't have enough TV to go bigger :-(
Maybe someday we'll get that Tundra and move up too.

nice looking TT, and the Tundra is a great pickup too. As for the "power leveling jacks" do you mean the stabilizers? If that's what your talking about, remember they only stabilize, not level.

This is a bit of an old thread. I found it interesting is that Ram has the same engine as my Dakota and the only time my temp elevates at all is if I am running my AC.
I am glad to hear you solved your overheating issue!
