Newbe question

Hi

We bought our first ever trailer a 2012 17n a few weeks ago. Our first trip was 60 miles from the dealer to home. This was the first time I have towed anything. Our 2 trip was 1500 miles from Washington to Arizona last week. The trip went pretty well with no issues. We pretty much drove straight through staying one night at a rest stop and one night at a Wall-Mart. With 3 dogs it sure made it easier than trying to find a hotel late at night that takes dogs.
I have a question. With a new trailer are their any service or maintenance tasks that should be done or looked at after the first few thousand miles?
We plan on being in AZ for a few months, taking a few short trips on weekends and then spending a week or more when we return to WA camping along the way.

Thanks,
Al

PS: Our TV is a V8 GMC Savanna conversion Van. Should I put a tranny cooler on it?

Hey Al welcome to the group. IMHO, I would keep an eye on the temp for a couple more trips.

I would check the wheel nots every 50 miles for the first 200, sounds like you have passed that though.

Welcome to the JOF, algie1100. Like jepotts said, torque the lugs down to spec on the wheels and make sure your air pressure is where it's supposed to be.
