Question noisy canvas

Anyone have a tip or idea on how to quiet down the noisy canvas on a windy day?

Unfortunately, I don't. 90% of our camping is at local beaches so it's pretty much always windy. This is one of the main reasons why we sold our hybrid after one season and upgraded.

Turtle?

Seriously, the advantage of a hybrid is the tent-like experience and that includes flapping in the wind. Even if you cover the tent ends with a tarp or something like that, it too will flap. The only solution might be to somehow weight down the roof fabric, but then that would likely stretch it which is another problem when it comes to water pooling in the rain.

So the only real solution would be to not have the canvas at all, which means a different type of RV.

Roll-up earplugs. I don't leave home without them. They are helpful for snoring bedmates, barking dogs, clanging sailboat rigging, noisy neighbors, etc..

noisy canvas

Just keep the canvas as tight as possible. In the past, I owned a 18EXP and the top center pole was adjustable in length. I kept the right amount of tension on it and flapping was minimal.
