Oaky. First dumb question.

How do you determine whether this is a "hybrid" or an "ultralight" or?

It is a hybrid if it has bunks that fold out that are tent ends. That`s what a hybrid is, a combination of a popup and a travel trailer, hard sides and tent ends. Some fold out the sides, front and/ or back .The one in the pic appears to be a liteweight Jayfeather travel trailer, I see no tent ends on it.

Nah, good question!

Courtesy of Camping World:
"Hybrid travel trailers combine the features of a pop-up trailer and a hard-sided trailer. In their camping configuration, one or more bunks fold down from the side with canvas tent covers. When in travel, the bunks fold up into the side of the trailer leaving four hard sides. The primary advantage of a hybrid travel trailer is that it offers a greater space to weight ratio."

In part, a description of a ultra lite tt borrowed from "another" manufacturer :
"..Ultra-Lite technology - features innovative floor plans ranging from 16' to 31'. With units light enough to be towed by SUVs, minivans, crossover vehicles and light trucks, we are sure to have the model that best fits your family’s needs."

Here is a link to Jayco website. It shows a travel trailer and a hybrid side by side, and the floorplan for a hybrid:

That's kind of what I thought. Mine isn't a hybrid, then. It actually says Ultra Lite on the back end, I think. So, is it an "ultra lite"? I'm thinking so.

LOL I had to go back to your first post at the forum to find the description of your tt. Yup, looks like you have a lite model. So I'm guessing the pic above is a 2011 version of your tt?

No, that's a pic of a 2008 right from Jayco's website. That's what mine looks like, exactly.
