I think it had pretty much every option on it except for the outdoor grill. It sure looks nice sitting in my driveway. I get home from work and go sit in. Did you mean Ventura??? I have only pulled a pop up also, however it was on the bigger side (2006 Fleetwood Niagara highwall). Towing the 23B home went well and it didn't seem much different than the Niagara.

Opps, yes Ventura Koa.....I heard the optional BBQ's are really cheap so probably best to invest in something better. I did not purchase with options either....we were stretching already and not planning to $pend as much as we did. We were looking at a 2013 closeout of a Dutchman Kodiak HTT, but did not like the quality of the unit. Ended up in a Jayco and could really see a big difference in the quality, especially in the fabrics, cushions and layout ! I am a little worried about the weight as I will be pulling with a Ford Expedition smaller V8, its the 4.6......what are your thoughts?

I have a Dodge Ram 1500 with the 4.7l V8 and like I said it wasn't much different. I am pretty sure I won't win any races up the grapevine but that is fine with me. We were looking at the Roo's also, but the wife liked the counter space in the 23B. You know the saying happy wife happy life. Please let me know how the Ventura KOA is as we have been looking at going there also. I just bought a little portable webber bbq today to use when I am not cooking over the fire.

We have a new 23B too, and also go sit in it in the evening! Have not actually gone camping yet because of our schedules, but plan to make our first trip in April. Can't wait to hear how your first trip with yours is. Have fun!

I have a 4.7 ram also with the 3:55 gears and it handles the X23B very well.

I have mine for 3 years now and we love it...Just watch the Locks on the outside of the bunk-ends....I had to replace my front end due to a faulty lock and locking handles. May have been a freak thing but you never know, just f.y.i., best of luck and happy camping!!!

We have that same setup in our Dakota with the 4x4 option. Don't remember the gear ratios any more. Pulls the 23b quite nicely.

Love your choice of the smaller trailers... the 23B is a perfect size for getting in and out of most camp grounds including the natl forest sites. A great candidate for camping off the power grid sites.

The HTT idea of dropping down the tent bed from the outside sure gives you lots of room inside not having the bed to walk around. This will work great for you when you have to pull off for a quick over night somewhere. You probably can sleep overnight using the couch and floor for the kids or setting one bed end....

The only drawbacks I read about are the large drop tent bed doors being large like they are are prone to slight warping which may allow some leaking around the seals. Deserves close attention...

We see alot of this trailer design everywhere we go. A very popular trailer.

Welcome to the 23b club. We love ours and are getting ready to pull it out of storage next weekend. We've turtled in it on the highway to get some sleep and it's worked out well. It's nice to be able to access everything. It's kind of mod friendly. We've added a battery box on the front, LED lighting, and getting the dealer to put a fantastic fan in the main body of the thing so we can try to keep the bathroom door closed more but move air. Check out popup gizmos for the ends and 3M command strip storage helpers work great to add some storage around the place.

We pull ours with the 4.6 Expedition, also.
At times, I wish it was the 5.4, but it's not bad. Except gas mileage.

I have/had 140k on my 2004 Expedition and I was concerned about being so close to the max load and reliability that I decided to sell it last week. Worked out well, I have kept the truck pretty clean and serviced regularly so a co-worker jumped at the chance to buy it. I found a Tahoe with 59k on it with the 5.3 Vortex for $11500 and I was able to get it down to 10K. Cost me $4750 additional but I have a vehicle now that can tow up to 7700 pounds and I don't have to worry about the reliability issue as much. Where and how long is/was your first trip out?
