Pop Out

I want to clean the inside of my pop outs. We live in the trailer in Florida for the winter. I noticed some black spots.
We also use gizmos on the two ends. A big help . I hope gizmos aren’t adding to the problem.
It is an old trailer but it is just right for the two of us a our springer spaniels.
I hope someone can help us with this problem. I want to keep it as long as we can.

The inside layer is canvas. When we had our pop-up the first year we had it I closed it up damp. I thought it was all dried out but there was enough moisture to cause mold to grow.

The dealer told me how they kill the mold. A bucket of hot water with a little bleach in it and a bucket of plain hot water. Using a clean rag soaked in bleach water, but not too soaked, wipe it on the molded areas. Follow immediately by the clean water. Let it sit for a bit, repeat as needed. It may not get all the stains out, but it will kill all of the mold. We had that pop-up for 10 years and never had it come back.

This is what I use on my 16XRB. It’s not too strong and works very well. Let it sit on the mold/mildew for a couple of minutes, then wipe it off with water a couple of times. Walmart usually carry’s it.

We must have put our 93 Jayco Eagle 10 up slightly damp years ago, when I did finally open it up, the ends were molded so bad that they had holes rotted in them. Have to dry them out before closing up.
