question about heater vent, 2019 x19h
hello, hopefully there's another x19h owner here that can take a look at this and compare for me. please see the attached picture of the main heater vent. is that round piece of sheet metal supposed to be punched out so that air can flow out of the vent when the heater is on? right now there is a vent under the table, and another at the bed by the door, but i just wanted to check if this is supposed to be a functioning vent as well. when the heater is on the noise can be heard of air trying to escape there.

If you remove the knock out you would probably lose air flow to the other vents.

I believe that KO is supposed to be removed to allow heat into the room. Otherwise why have the fancy vent cover?

I would call Jayco before removing it, since you have ducted heat you will lose air flow to the ductwork. Forced air will follow the path of least resistance.

I have the same camper. I plan to head out to our campground in the next week or so. Will check and report back for you. Don't remember off the top of my head.

I do not have a vent like that in my now old tt.
I'm very suspicious of its purpose. Have you poked around, to see what is behind it? It does not look like any heat duct install I have ever seen.
I bet there is 4 screws behind the snap in fascia frame that you can remove to to gain access to see what is behind it. May also have access from a false panel along side or above it.
I would poke around before popping it out.

My 2018 X19h has a working vent and I consider it the main one. Three total: under the table, back bed, and the main one that you referenced. I think yours was just overlooked during construction. I would take out the 4 screws and see if that plate can slide out.
Good luck and let us know!

Got out to mine finally. Looks just like Kenthedragon's -- mine is a vent as well.
Now - my furnace didn't work. So that's a different story I have to figure out!

Where is the ducted outlets? I have a 16 XRB, and I would love to have more heat flowing. The placement is terrible where it is. It blows on the cupboards, we use a fan to push it around to the ends.

In a 16 there may not be any.

I have a 2015 X19H. Mine is closed and looks like Az Camper's except mine is recessed back a couple of inches. It serves as the air return. When the furnace fan is running I can feel air flowing back in. Outlets are under the table, back bed and bathroom.

2018 X19h
One under the table
One under back bed near entry door
Main one next to fridge OP asked about
Checked the bathroom and found the white one which is trickling a pinch of heat out
I found ducting under the kitchen seat next to the water pump and also under the bathroom sink shelf if that helps with how they routed it.

...that's the way mine is. Heated air does come out from there in addition to the other vents.
