Ready to buy a 2018 Jayco X23F!

Alright, so we've researched and saved, and finally THIS is the year - we're ready to buy a Jayco X23F!

And given that we're going into a new camping year, I'd like to buy a 2018 model year. It'll help future resale value, and we'll benefit from any tweaks made in the new model year.

My understanding is that Jayco switches over to 2018 production in May. Is that correct?

Is there any way to find out what upgrades from 2017 there will be in the 2018 units? I suppose I could start calling Jayco phone numbers and see what happens.

We are so excited! We've had a Rockwood 2605 and a North Trail 21FBS in the past, but it's been five years since we've had a TT and now that our kids are 6 (son) and 3 (daughter), we're ready to introduce them to the wonderful world of TT camping.

When we traveled to the Jayco Visitor's Center for the tour, the person who guided our tour was quite forthcoming with information regarding future changes with some of the product lines, I do believe calling the Jayco Headquarters may be worthwhile.

23F is the perfect hybrid for the four of you. We love ours, it's really a great trailer.

Yes, if you're planning on reselling in the next couple years, wait for the 2018, that can get you a couple grand in the first few years. If you're keeping for more than 5-8 years, it really won't matter, and you might save more on a late 2017 than you would make back on a future 2018 trade. As time goes on, one model year won't make much of a difference.

I have been researching the x23f for about a year as we would like to upgrade to it from an X17z.

The immedidate changes I have noticed to the 2018 are a different color pattern to the decals. Back to being blue based, which I love. Also, the interior has much lighter woods, which I also love as the dark woods just make the space seem smaller.

Not having seen one in person yet, that is about all I can speak to, but we plan to go see the 2018 in about a month and I can report back when we do. It looks like a really great trailer!

The Jayco X23F has been redesigned, and is different enough that it is now called the X23E.

What I've noticed:

• The table dinette (on raised floor) is replaced by a larger U-shaped dinette (on flat floor).
• The trailer is now somewhat longer and heavier.
• There is more storage inside the trailer.
• There is external storage under the dinette.

Our biggest concern with the X23F was whether there was enough storage. It looks like the X23E has addressed this quite nicely, plus the flat-floor dinette should help the interior feel even roomier.

We owned an X23B (our first TT) for 2 years and loved it. We upgraded to a 5th when we traded but we still talk about the X23 “Little Feather” with fond memories. Tho the smaller cousin to yours we were super pleased with the compromise between towed length and usable space/usable beds. In our 2 years we logged 62 nights and 8100 miles with very few maintennance issues.

you would be better off buying a left over 2017 and saving a few thousand up front than buying a 2018 to maybe get a few thousand on the back side... you can use the money you save upfront on a left over to do some upgrades..

keep an eye out for a used 2015-2017 in the 40-60% off of MSRP range seeing how most new ones are in the 25-35% off MSRP range...
