Refrigerator

Hi there.

We have a 2015 Jay Feather Ultra Lite (I assume I'm on the right board?), and have a question on the refrigerator....(I've looked through the manual, and I can't find the answer).

How do I keep my refrigerator running while we were on the road? We plug it in to cool while we load it up, but it doesn't stay that way. I thought the battery ran it, but I'm guessing not?

We just took a 5-hour trip and everything was warm by the time we got there.

So, not the battery? Is it propane?

Thanks!

Yes, it's probably a two way fridge that runs on propane or 115VAC. If there's propane available to the fridge it should auto light if the switch on the fridge is set to auto. If it doesn't auto light, you should have some error indication on the control panel of the fridge. You may need to purge the air out of the propane lines by lighting one of your stove burners. If you can get one of the burners to light, then the line is purged that far. It may take several attempts to light the fridge by resetting it. When the burner starts, you'll be able to hear it running from the outside vent of the fridge. It's not loud, but loud enough to know that there's a burner that's running.

It uses propane and 12vdc, for the control circuits. Turn on the propane tank, light the stove to purge the gas lines. If the frig is set to "auto" it will flip from electric to gas when the shore power is disconnected. If I remember correctly the light on the panel will be green when operating on electric, orange for gas. And blinking orange if the gas did not start after thee tries.
