Retract awning

Hello again, I just picked up a 2018 16XRB, and Iím trying to familiarize & learn as much as I can to be proactive. Browsing through my awning owners manual, it stats that it can be retracted manually by removing a plug at the end, and using a 3/8 drive to turn counter clockwise to retract it. Hmmm-
I donít have a plug on either ends to remove, only plastic covers covering the roller ends. Can some one give me any clues on this?

Itís a Carefree Freedom Awning WMNL.
If that helps
Thanks

I did see a fellow doing that exact same procedure on his 5th wheel a month ago. He had taken a cover off the front arm at the top, and was using a cordless drill on something inside there, and the awning was retracting. His motor worked to extend, but not retract it.

He tried using a ratchet and socket, but that was taking forever.

Be aware, as the awning retracts, it's going to go away from you, so a step ladder is in order.
