Roof Vent Cover Recommendations, X23B
Any one have a recommendation? Looking for a model to fit over the factory one. Would like to go with black to match the AC shroud.

Easy to install. Work well

I have 2 on my rig and they have held up well. Get the ones with the hinged side for easy cleaning. That may be standard now.

Agree with MaxxAir II...the II is important because it comes with the hinged side.
I have 2 on my current TT and one on my previous.

Maxx Air II or the Camping World vents with rear and side vents. Have used and been happy with both. Be advised though that over a Fantastic or similar style fan, they all reduce how much air your fan pulls.

So much for making this unanimous. I went with the Camping World Maxx Aire clone. The CW model was much thicker construction than the Maxx Aire and cost less too.

Sorry mcfarmall, but majority will rule on this one, just ordered a Maxxair II from CW. Looking forward to being able to allow some hot air to escape whether it's raining or not!

Sorry...I need some clarification. The Maxx Air II is just a fan COVER, right? It's not the fan itself. If I wanted to replace the factory fan, with a better one...are you guys recommending the Maxxfan and then using the MaxxAir II cover on top? Thanks (sorry if I'm a bit slow here)

Correct - that maxairII is just a cover - not a fan
I only have vent covers over my crank open fresh air vents. They are great because you can leave the crank up part open all the time - rain or shine.
Maxxair also makes vent covers for openings that have powered fans, but its the same concept. The design my be different, but its still just a "Hood" that mounts over existing hardware.

Take a look at the Heng's Vortex. You can get them for about$60 from amazon. Piece of cake to install in an existing ventline housing powered or not. They really move some air

Do the project right and add a fantastic fan and MaxairII. The stink fan that comes in the bathroom vent is just that. There are competitors to fantastic fans and they all work, but my experience is with FF with a MaxII cover. This is an easy DYI, just pick a cool day or do it after the sun sets. It gets blinding hot up there.

Just askin' but what's wrong with the fan that comes with the trailer?
We're talkin' about a small bathroom here. How much air movement do you really need? Ours seems to move air just fine.....

I replaced the stock fan with a Vortex in both my trailers.
We use the bathroom fan as sort of a "whole house fan" in our trailer so we were looking for a volume of air movement much more than the factory fan provided. But I also wanted it to be affordable and capable of installing without compromising the factory roof seal.

Can you slightly open the vent when storing to keep dampness out. Will the MaxAir II keep the rain out.
