Running AC on 20amp?

We have a 2015 16xrb hybrid. I’m wondering if our AC would run on 20amp at a campground that no longer has 30amp available? We take our three dogs to shows and recently discovered one of the show sites has limited facilities and there are no other private campgrounds nearby. Thanks for answering a quick question!

Probably. I have run mine on 20 amp, but it's not reliable.

The A/C runs okay on 20 amp, but may trip a breaker when starting on if anything else is running on the circuit. Run your fridge and water heater on propane, don't use the microwave or other electric stuff.

You could try it before departing. Find a 20 amp circuit at home ( not 15), unplug anything else on the circuit, plug in your rig with appropriate sized connectors, and see how the A/C works.

We did that at many rallies. You just need to manage what you are running with it. As an example when we went to use the micro we put the a/c on fan. Also put the fridge and water heater on gas.

If you really want to make sure everything will run without popping something, you could install an easy-start system. This entire video is worth watching. Reduced amp-draw on startup from 50 amp to 12 amp. I've just linked to it at the end where he tests the soft start:
