Shore Power connection

Have any of you changed your shore power connection to one of the external hookup styles with the threaded adapter? I’m not a big fan of the cord constantly getting tangled and stuck trying to feed it back into the storage area on my 17z. Not to mention I thought I had it stored all the way and the door flipped open while we were driving and about 6” of the cord was hanging out.

I was looking at this conversion kit:
Furrion FCKIT30-PS 30A RV Conversion Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004XN57UI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DW5kDbNPA390E

Thoughts?

I think you'll see that several here have done what you're looking to do. I chose not to and use the reason you'll see several use here. That reason is because it becomes another cord to have to wrap and store (along with water hose, optional gas lines for a grille, extension cords, etc.). I don't really have the room to store another 30' cord but that's my preference.

The new 17z’s come with the Furrion external hookup and I have preferred it to hard-Wired connections. Yeah, another cord to store, but easier for me personally to handle.

I saw that one also but it’s nearly double the price.
