Shower in 2012 X19H

Hi,

I was wondering how well the shower works in this camper. We will be going on our first trip soon and I realized that it doesn't have a regular shower wall, it just has the same walls that are in the rest of the bathroom. Also, where do you keep the shampoo etc., in the shower since you can't suction cup a holder to the papered wall?

Thanks for your help.

In the 2 years that we have owned our RV (which has the same papered walls as yours) this has never been an issue. The paper is impervious to water and does not get soggy, if that is what you are worried about.

It will hide soap residue well though and the only way to tell that it is there is to run the palm of your hand over the shower area and compare with the non-shower wallpaper in the bathroom -- feels slightly gummier.

I will be adding a stick on plastic enclosure walls similar to this residential bathtub wall kit as a means of both upgrading the look and cleanability (?) of the shower.

Wayne - That is a fantastic idea for an upgrade. Really hope you post up before/during/after photos so I can send it to hubby for his "honey do" list :-)

Our wall has shown no ill effects from use up to this point, although ours is still pretty new but I agree with wmoses on the durability. His idea of installing the shower wall kit looks like a good one.
We've installed a corner shampoo holder with double side tape and after one whole use seems good. I think we got it at Targ or Wally Mart. To date I've been reluctant to make any holes for mounting, the only ones being for the paper towel dispenser - so far.
Keep your eyes on this site (when you're not driving) and you will see MANY folks with incredible ideas and skills.

I had the shower walls installed in my camper before I picked it up. I use the shower most weekends, and on vacations. The only thing I don't like about it is that the 2 shelves are not deep enough to hold anything other than a trial size shampoo or body wash. You can not put a soap dish or full size container on the shelves.

Weird, ours is a 2011, and it has the plastic walls.

I just hung a shower caddy in mine. I used a command strip that holds 5 pounds. I had to hang it from the wall paper because it wouldn't stick to the shower enclosure. Works well.
