table up vs down when traveling

we are new to this kind of camper (Hybrid, had a pop up before) and this kind of table (poles vs folding legs) and would like opinions and preferences as to whether the table should be up or down when traveling. Any bad experiences with it either way?

We have a 19h and have never had the table down yet and no trouble either.

We travel with the table down for the most part. It is easier to lay down a blanket and take the daughter's bike with us this way. When we don't take her bike, we keep it up. Have had no issues either way.

The only time our table is down, is when it is being used as a bed. No problems so far. Congrats on the new camper.

My owners manual says to travel with it in the down position.

I do too but the 19h has posts. I'm not sure what trailer he has. Is it possible his table has different legs?

I have a 2012 17Z with posts like in the photo. The table itself is very heavy and my husband thinks the rocking of the trailer moving would not be good for the brackets the poles fit in. I'm the one who sets up the inside when we get there and so I thought I'd throw it out there for opinions. thanks all.

I have to agree with the "down/stowed" answer. I just drove 500 miles with mine in the up position and it literally shook the "hook mount" out of the wall. So, the fail point isn't the upright support, whether folding or stationary - it's the connection to the wall. I also noticed that the original owner had had at least two of the screws pull out at some point because there were "double" holes for two of the four screws. The good news is that I was able to remount the bar into the wall by using short drywall anchors and drilling out the old stripped holes a bit.

My table does not attach to the wall, so no problem with that.
