Tail light Issue

Have an issue with both tail lights on our 2013 Jayco Hybrid...the turn signals work fine..they are bright and clear....the tail lights and break lights are not bright and are very dull...you can tell they are on but anyone following us will not know they are on...I changed the bulbs and that did not help...any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful..

I would start at the 7 pin connector. I suspect you have corrosion in the pin/socket (HTT or TV side). Clean up the connections and I bet you will be good to go.

I spray mine with WD40. Works great.

If you have corrosion on the contact pin and socket use very fine sandpaper or emery cloth. Wrap it around a tiny screw driver and polish both sides of the connection. Corrosion can look white, green or just dark looking metal.

When clean and shiny use dielectric grease to stop corrosion from happening.

I put a bucket over my jack head and put the end of the trailer connector up there to prevent more corrosion. I also make sure my car side is tight to prevent corrosion there.

Does your TV use a wiring adapter(separate turn signals and brake lights)? I'd check that.

After cleaning you may want to go to an auto store and buy a spray specially made to keep electrical plugs clean.
