Television for X17Z

Does anyone know how large of a TV we could put over the fridge in our X17z? Does any TV work or are there special trailer TVs?

That would depend if you want to run the TV off of 12 volt DC or just an 120 volt AC TV. The TV is only limited to the space above your refer. Look around before you buy. Most RV TVs are basically overpriced crap. I bought a new Samsung 24 inch to replace the factory installed Jensen for just under $200.00. The Samsung is a smart TV with a web browser.

Best Buy carries a brand called Insignia. Some have built in DVD players and the one we had in our last trailer worked very well. This brand is a 120 volt TV but actually has a transformer that converts it to 12 volts. There may be a way to convert it to 12 volt.

Hope this helps a little.

For my X18D, I just measured the available space and bought the biggest one at best buy that would fit. It's either an 18 or 19". I haven't mounted it yet. I just set it on a bench with blankets and pillows around it for travel. It's 120v only. I didn't want to spend extra for a 12v TV as we always have hookups.

I just put a 22" LED TV/DVD in ours a couple of weeks ago, everything else I measured was too large. I just went with a regular TV plugged into the AC wall plug

We put a Visio 23" in our Starcraft 175RK (same as Jayco 17C). Fits on the shelf above the fridge with about 1/2 - 3/4" to spare. The advantage with this particular model is that the power output from the brick is 12V. Went to Radio Shack and bought a cigarette lighter adapter with the right size plug on it and can run the TV off 12V without firing up the generator.
