Toilet Issue

When I push the pedal to flush toilet water shoots out the back. Thoughts on where it is leaking, I can’t see back there. Do I need to remove the toilet?

The water line comes into the back area of the toilet...there must be a bad connection there...I would find a way to see what's happening back there when you push the pedal...it might be something you can easily tighten to fix. Maybe take a investigative pic or video. Don't remove the toilet until you know where it leaks from. Speaking of videos, u-tube can also be very helpful

If it's not the connection, it's probably the water valve. Get a mirror and flashlight so you can see behind the toilet to determine where the water is coming from. Upper part=water valve. lower part=connection. If the toilet isn't leaking until you flush it, I suspect the water valve. Should be replaceable without removing the toilet.
