tools
Just recently purchased a new to us 2013 x17z. Was wondering what people take with them in regards to tools and extra parts such as fuses hose washers etc.

Make sure you have the tools to change a flat tire.
Fuses, check what you need.

My trailer toolkit will never be as large as my sailboat toolkit. When we first got our trailer, I shopped for tools, and ended up getting the bare minimum, with the thought that I'll almost never be where I can't get to someplace that will sell me the tool I need.
A lot of the tools are the obvious ones, and they've already been mentioned.
I carry a torque wrench with a socket to fit my trailer's lug nuts. And, I don't bother bringing the lug wrench that came with my trailer. The torque wrench supplies more leverage for getting the nuts off, and being a torque wrench, I can torque the nuts to the correct spec.
I carry a 16 ton bottle jack. It's compact, but a little on the heavy side, but will certainly have no problem lifting the trailer in the event of a flat.
And while I'm talking tires, I also carry a little AC powered air compressor. If we don't have an electrical hookup, I can just use our inverter generator.
I have a hydrometer for testing my batteries. Of course, I have a couple electrical meters that give their opinion on my batteries, but when I really want to know their state of charge, I don't think the hydrometer can be beat.
My tire pressure gauge is a Jaco (Not Jayco) dial meter that doesn't operate on batteries.

I carry a "AAA plus RV" road service card and a roll of duct tape. Haven't needed either yet!

I bought a Husky mechanics toolkit from Homedepot after Christmas last year. It's one of the bigger kits and it was on clearance for less than $100 (I think I paid $75). It was originally priced at $250. Look for some good deals on those kits after the holidays.

All of the above plus tools to fix the kids bikes. Alan keys and tire patches can make you a local legend on your loop.

We bought toolkit from Harbor Freight that has most things you should need. Didn't want to spend a whole lot in case someone decides they need it more than me. X2 on the tire changing tools, we didn't have a lug wrench to fit the camper, so we got a 4-way.

I'd say what tools to carry depends a lot on what kind of camping you plan to do. Long road trips - short local trips - boon docking - snow birding...

Hydraulic jack.
Plus what everybody else says. I have a list for extended trips that is to long to list here.
