Trash can

Any suggestions for a trash can when you travel with dogs?

In what respect? You mean to keep them out?

They may be hard to find these days, but we have a plastic (maybe 4 or 5 gallon) container, with a separate lid, and the two handles slip over the edges to lock it on.

We keep ours inside the sink cabinet. So far, poochie hasn't figured out how to grab the door handle and pull the door open.

We use a tiny trashcan. Its holds a plastic grocery bag. We keep it between the bathroom. Dog is trained not to touch it. Typically we hike it up to the CG trashcan each night.

We keep a small pail (actually popcorn pails from Disney) in the bathroom and kitchen. The main garbage is a full size bag in a collapsing frame that is kept outside under the awning, but we do 90% of our cooking outdoors. At night (from dusk) the garbage either goes up to the dump bin, or gets closed up inside the truck; never inside the HTT.

Dog-proof trash can

If you have an extra lower cabinet, you could put the trash can inside. Problem is, very few campers have an "extra" lower cabinet!

My dog use to dig Kleenex out of the bathroom trash can & eat it. Kind of nice, actually: his poop came out gift-wrapped! He's also been known to dig things out of the kitchen trash can. I tried a kitchen can that had a lid with a "swivel" door on it. He's just push it open with his nose! Ended up getting cans with lids & foot levers to open the lid. He hasn't (yet) figured out how to step on the foot lever to open the lid.
