UV protective coat?

Camping World is finalizing our 2015 X17z right now- they are trying to get us to purchase a UV/surface protectant for inside and out for $1000- anyone have recommendations?

What about the Good Sam roadside assistance and tire protection? I am convinced we need it all, DH thinks it's all a scam.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks! ;-)

HUGE money maker for those folks. If you want UV protection spray a little Scotchguard on the inside and wax the outside. After all, that's all they're doing. IMHO it's all a waste of your money. As far as roadside assistance, the only company out there that knows their stuff and is worth it is Coachnet. Here's a link to their site for your towable. Coach-Net - Plans.

I think you will find Camping World will give you 1 yr roadside assistance and 2 yrs of Good Sam Club. I got it and if I remember right I was in a camping World a few months ago and the offer is posted in their sales area. I declined the UV protectant.

I would decline the UV and fabric protect. You can buy Scotch guard and spray it on yourself if inclined. Our experience is if you vacuum and clean the materials the fabric protector is removed by cleaning.

A wash job and occasional waxing is all you need.

Save the 1K for having someone wax it annually if you can't do it yourself.

I am a lifetime member at CW and a 12 year GSRS customer. Completely satisfied.

Jayco usually provides the roadside service for the first year of new ownership through coachnet so your just doubling the coverage. Confirm that with Jayco as there is usually a sticker inside one of the cabinets with contact info.

Agree with the UV protection scam. Padding their pockets and draining yours.
