Valve handle

Hi All. We have a 2011 X23B.. I pulled the black tank valve handle and it disconnected from the valve, pushed it back on and it seems to work. Question how does the metal tubing from the handle connect to the dump valve. threaded, some sort of quick connect. what??? Can vibration cause it to loosen up??
I don't want this to repeat. Any input would be helpful

Valve handle

My handle recently did the same and I am a new owner. It appeared to me that a small portion at the end of handle was chipped. Th handled is threaded on my trailer so I screwed back on and its still there 1000miles later. However, it may be wise for us both to purchase a spare as well as get some Loctite and place on the threads then screw down. Recently I purchased a Camco 39062 Dual Flush Pro Holding Tank Rinser with Gate Valve which I suppose may be able to eliminate the need to pull both the grey and black handles?

Dump valve repair

Hi All..Here was the problem. The dump handle rod where it connects to the dump valve had gradually loosened up over the years until the last couple of female threads in the end of the aluminum rod stripped out. The fix I made. There were several threads left in the end of the aluminum rod so I put a small amount of loc-tite on the threads of the steel stud that sticks out of the dump valve. Tightened it up and I'll give it a try.
