Velcro/rubber gasket rubbing

I have a 2009 17C and just noticed the velcro for the tent is scratching on the rubber gasket when the bed end is opened and closed. This has shredded one of the gaskets on the top corner of the bed end. Also, the velcro is also not sticking as well as it used to (I guess the loops are just getting worn). Has anyone ever had to replace either the velcro or the gasket? Is it a do-it-yourself job or something for a dealer to do?
