Water Heater

Our nacho needs a new water heater. We found an Atwood G6a-7 heater and Purdy tape. My question is has anyone ever replaced there water heater?

I haven’t, but I thought about it on my last trailer. I figured a new one would work better then a 41 year old one. Hopefully someone else can be helpful.

Have replaced one and it is not that hard. Take your time and think before doing anything. Blew mine (failure to winterize) and all repair shops wanted 12-1500 to replace it. Found one on Amazon for about $300 and the butyl tape. Took about 3 hours of careful work. Good luck.

I replaced the water heater. Took my time and it is nice. Direct replacement so everything went easy. Purdy tape was nice to use. Screws went in the same holes. I am lucky!

Nice job! Now it's all downhill from now, on any fixes or mods. You've joined the ranks of a self sufficient RV owner. Congrats!

Next is a new kitchen sink and faucet. I was going to trade my trailer in on a new one. But this has never given me any problems. We had new wheel bearings and tires. Not bad for a trailer that has been from pa. To California two times. Yellowstone and navada. This trailer is well built.

I've never seen it spelled that way before.
