What are the things I need to get?

My wife and I (and our two little boys) are taking possession of a 2013 X23B in a few weeks. We are very excited!

So what are the things that I need to get right away that will make our camping experiences better with the trailer?

Here is my list so far:

Leveling blocks
Wheel chocks
A good sewer hose (any suggestions?)
Water pressure regulator
Decent length water hose

My wife is taking care of all the camping essentials for inside the camper (we have a lot of that from tent camping).

We are spending out first weekend with the camper at our house and doing all the prep work of sanitizing water system, getting the smell out of the furnace and oven.

Other things that are "must buys" or any other prep work that I need to do?

Congrats!

Go with the Rhino sewer hose brand, 30 amp to 15 amp adapter. Get one of those cheap inside refrigerator fans too! The rest you can add later as you go down the road.

Here is a thread about the "top ten" must haves. But It goes a bit deeper then that!

These were on my list:
Sewer hose and fittings
Fresh water hose
Water pressure regulator
Wheel chocks
Wheel leveling blocks

And I already have these taken care of:
Weight distributing hitch with sway control (getting an Equalizer)
Tow mirrors (on my truck)
A decent brake controller (on my truck)

Electric tongue jack (a must have)

Now all I need is:
30 amp to 15 amp adapter for home hookup
Patience and perseverance!

If this is your first camper, you will also need a square drive screwdriver, some spare screws and misc brackets (new campers have problems too), duct tape, tools necessary to change a tire (be sure to test that all tire accessories work, jacks, lowering devices, sockets, etc.) I buy a box (or 2) of examination gloves for the dirty work, they're inexpensive and disposable.

knickerbocker-- Be sure your cg has hookup for waste water or you will need a "blue buddy" of some sort to drain your waste and take to the dump station. Check the tt for type of fuses it has and get some spares, be sure to include the one at the battery. That reminds me-- be sure your dealer gives you a fully charged battery and that your tv has the " constant 12v" wire connected in your tv fuse panel . That is the one that charges your battery while in transit.in transit. Larry

Must have: Square screwdriver, water jug, leveling boards, wheel chocks, 30a extention cord.
Nice: Swivel aerator for galley faucet, water accumulator tank, electric outlet next to circuit panel, 110v space heaters, bug zapper lamp for interior, electric fly swatter, battery cutoff switch, short sewer hose, spare hide-a-key.
