What is this?

Sorry for (yet) another posting, however I'm curious to know what this fixture is for in our x17z. Our dealer said it was for an optional light or fan??? There is one of these at each end of the trailer above the bed

Your dealer is correct. You can purchase bunk/light fan units on amazon that will fit here.

Bob,

Yep, exactly what the dealer told you they were for.

They are a great investment, I highly recommend getting one for ech end.

Wish ours had those power ports. They weren't an option on the 17Z back in 2010. I've considered either adding them myself or have my dealer install them.

Ask your dealer to give you deal on 2 (or 3 if you have 3 bunk model) We just got the X23F and they sold us 3 for $40 each, I think they are near $60 each online

Etrailer has them also. http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Ligh...cs/RVFL51.html

The kicker is that they used to GIVE you 2 of these with each new PUP and Hybrid. We kept the ones from our '93 Kiwi 17A. I'm glad we did.

Yes, that's a 12V plug. Do pick up the combo light/Fans to use with those. They will solve your condensation issues, help to circulate both the heat and the AC, and make a cozy reading lamp!

Great prices glsimms and DocBrown, hadn't checked online lately. Bought our TT in January, and couldn't find them cheaper than $35 plus shipping so $40 was ok for me with dealer. And my teenage broked one first install, so Dealer fixed it free, i'm ok with that!
