What is this bracket for?

Hey everyone! New to travel trailers and learning. So, I put a deposit down on a 2016 Jay Feather X17Z. While looking over the trailer, I noticed this bracket near the propane hookup. Can anyone tell me what it's for? I tried looking through the manual, Google, and forums topics, but couldn't find it. TIA

Is it a bracket, or a deflector to keep road debris from hitting the propane connection?

Mine has a deflector in front of it but mine is closer to the low pressure gas quick connect.

It looks more like a bracket. There was a screw hanging from one of the holes in the bottom. *♂️

I just had to go out in the driveway and look at my 2013 x17z. My propane connection is located further back, closer to the front of the tire. Further forward is a stone guard similar to the picture but vertical.
