What type of electrical surge protector?

I was looking at buying a surge protector. I have seen several that has gotten a lot of negative reviews. Does anyone have an opinion on this? (30 amp)

Get a Progressive Industries EMS 30 amp unit. They have hard wired units and portable units. In my opinion they are superior to anything else on the market. They have a lifetime warranty. Tweetys RV had the best deal when I bought a 50 amp unit for the new camper last week. I gave my portable 30 amp unit away when I sold my old trailer.

x2 on a Progressive Industries EMS unit; while it may cost a (small) bit more it's warranted for life and made in the USA.

Another vote for Progressive Industries EMS. I've had 2 (so far), a 30 Amp pole mount and currently a 50 Amp hard wire. If I need to buy another (maybe for the next TT, let's say) I'll lean towards another hard wire. Depends on the space available to install it. A recent post suggested there is usually room behind the converter panel.
