"Wheely", now.

Hello again,

Just wondering how many of you use the small wheel at the bottom of the hitch "crank pipe"? Are the any pros or cons for using it/not using it?

Thanks for any input!

Bob (in a very hot Ottawa)

My old TT had one and it was great fine tuning the position of the trailer in the site or moving it around the driveway by hand. However my old TT had a gross weight of 850 kg so I didn't worry about it getting away from me. Not as sure about my new trailer.

It was removed pretty soon after getting the trailer. I didn't like the point load it was placing on the front (not that it was any problem). Instead I used a tongue jack stand like this for a while.

Then I got the Fastway Flip automatic jack foot. Works perfectly.

We had one with the old '03 Kiwi 17a. Used it off and on the first couple of years. We didn't use for at least the last 7 years that we owned it. Our new X20E didn't even come with one.

Just watched the video for that item. Sweet looking set up. Adding it to my list of wants / needs for my TT.

My antique popup has the wheel and was nice for tweaking while connecting- my '06 did not have a wheel and bought the fastway flip and have been very happy with it. I don't think a wheel would help if I did have it

I'd sell mine but I am trying to sell the RV and the wheel would probably go with it and the Flip would be removed. Sorry.
