Winegard Wingman attachment X17Z

Has anyone attached the Winegard Wingman tail to the stock antenna on a X17Z? Any issues and did it increase your reception? I've seen several comments but not specifically for the X17Z. Also can you still turn on the powered amplification with the Wingman attached? I'm a little concerned that it might interfere with raising and lowering the antenna. Thanks for any comments.

Yes to all your questions. The Wingman is an attachment for the stock Batwing antenna. It doesn't matter which trailer you have.

Put the Wingman on our 08 X17C well worth the time and money. About a 5 minute installation.

Before opening the box, look it over to see if you have clearance. On my larger fifth wheel, I could not mount it any way that it would clear my air conditioner unit when it was down.

i tried it anyway in the up position and found it to not be satisfactory. It made it to directional for my tastes. Every time I went to a different station, I had to move the antenna.

Down it came.
