X17Z people capacity

Truly , how large of a family can camp in a x17z? I know most time is spent outside, but if an unexpected storm comes through...what's the breaking point on people capacity?

We are fine with our 6 year old, 2 year old and two dogs as long as the beds are folded out.

You can seat 6 -- 4 at the table and 2 on the couch -- but you'll be just staring at each other with very little elbow room.

I would estimate 4 would be the max for an extended rain storm.

It depends on the ages, ( they outgrow the dinette table bed after a while) and how many adults and pets. We used to put two adults in one bed, two teenagers in the other, and the younger child on the pull out bed.

We did 3 adults in our old Kiwi 17a (the ancestor of the X17Z) from time to time. OK for short periods, not good for long periods. Our daughter had a tent since she was in her teens, so for any trip longer than a 2 day weekend she'd use that.

As your kids get older, that's what I'd recommend, a tent for the kids. They will love it.

From my perspective, I would say comfortable, four people in an Z17Z. Any more it would be a stretch, and really crowded.

I've been on dry camping trips with generators where we had four adults and three kids. It's hard to deal with everyone inside, but the only time we do that is to sleep.

2 adults, 2 4 year olds in ours. Works great but I can see that more people and/or dogs would start to get tight.
