X23B Heated Mattress

We are ordering a 2018 X23B and plan on ordering the heated mattress option. I was wondering if anyone had experience with these and how they work?

Let me know and thanks in advance for your help!

Is it a heated mattress or a heated mattress pad? I have the heated mattress pads and they work very well. The temperature control goes from 1 to 6 and about 30 minutes before I turn in I dile it to 6 and once I'm in I lower it to 1-2 max for the night, at more than 2 it feels too warm to sleep comfortably and we sleep in sleeping bags. Time of year we use them is Late Sept. till end of Nov. & March till May. Night time temps will be in the low 40s to mid 50s and My pads are now 7 years old and both still work.

We had two of the heated Mattress Pads in our X20E, both quit working last season after two seasons of use. I don't know if the original owner used them as we bought the trailer when it was 1 yr old.

I looked at the cost of replacement and decided to purchase a couple of SunBeam Heater Mattress pads ($50 Cdn) each and find they are far superior for heat. We only use the old pads now just as extra padding/comfort.

Edit: I should note that when they worked, they were great. Just disappointing they only had a 3 yr life in our case. Both no longer work.

I understand it to be part of the mattress, not a cover you add on. I see one response said they had them and they quit working after a fairly short time. However, I do not know if they were the ones you order from Jayco. Thanks for your response.

Do you know if this was something ordered from Jayco where it would be in the mattress itself or a cover purchased separately?

I am fairly positive they are Mattress Pads that came with the Package level of the original purchase. Separate from the actual mattresses. They were new, and did not look used but since we did not buy them, I can't say for sure. I am simply disappointed that I could not fix them in anyway for the cost.

Here's a picture of the pad and this one is a Queen size and its 1-5/8" thick and its from (Flair Industries). This was part of the Jayco package price but if I were you I would call " Flair Industries". It is a real good pad and really adds to the support of the mattress .

We have them and they are pads, we use the pad all year round for comfort and the heater in spring and fall.

They work great, glad we ordered them.

We did not go with the oem matter pad heaters.

We purchased aftermarket ones, and they work great.

I think the brand might have been Sunbeam (???). They are a fitted mattress pad, just like you put on your regular bed. They just have heating cables running through it. There is a quick connect at the foot end of the bed. Has two controllers, one for each person.

They fold up fairly small (fitted mattress pad size). I think we bough this set from "Bed Bath and Beyond" We only put them on the mattress when the weather is cool.

They do make a big difference during the cool months, especially if you are the person who sleeps on the outside edge of the bunk ends.
