X23B shower
This is a picture of my shower. It is much shallower than older modelswhich allows water to run out onto the floor. I am thinking about using 1x6 pvc plank to raise the wall.
Also this is the faucet. You see that the hose to the shower runs from the bottom. When you turn the water on it hits the hose and also lets water run out onto the floor.
I am going to replace it with a faucet that connects to the top and put an Oxygenics shower head on.

This was one of the main reasons why we hurried to buy a 2012 model this past summer before they were gone. Hope it works for you. Be sure to post pictures.

Wow, tht is really a shallow shower pan. And the faucet is 'odd'. Makes me glad to have a '12 model.

Those of you with the older models and deeper tubs. Do you know how tall the tub is and how deep it is on the inside?
Thanks

Maybe a dumb question but how do you keep the walls and vanity side from getting wet?

Use the outside shower or the one in the bathroom house.

Let me know how that mod goes JPetrey. I pick up my 2013 19h next week and I'm really concerned about the shower, especially with kids.

The shower curtain covers the vanity side with a cut out to accommodate the faucet. One would assume the the vanity is water resistant for any splashing the does occur.

I haven't had a chance to work on it yet. I am thinking that I could use a U-Channel like for frameless shower encloseures with plexiglass. I am thinking that adding 4-6 inches in height on the commode side. should to the trick. here is an example of the channel. http://www.dullesglassandmirror.com/...u-channels.htm
This week I will go to the storage lot and change the faucet to this http://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-USA-R4...r_2504398011_2
and install the Oxygenics shower head. The top side faucet connector and hose should cut out that portion of water trying to leave the shower area.
I will also take measurements for the channel mod as well

This Friday I am getting the X23B out of storage and will attempt the shower mods. Here is what I have planned. I purchased a 2' by 4' sheet of plexiglass 1/4 inch thick. The tub is approximately 16 inches long along the top, on the commode side. I will cut down the plexiglass in a sort of L shape 16 inches long by 10 inches tall and leave 6 inches out from the wall side leaving the 6 inch cut at the 2 foot height. I hope that makes sense. I got the materials at Lowes here is a link to the U channel:
http://www.lowes.com/pd_215769-37672...els&facetInfo=
I hope to only have to use silicone to attach it to the tub and wall that way it isn't as permanent. I will post pictures of the materials I use and how it looks when installed.
I added a very crude drawing of what I am describing...you are welcome to laugh...

We have the deeper tub, but we do not use it. We use the one in the shower house and store three totes (rubber bins) with clothes in the space instead. I'm skeptical of the walls in the shower area, they just don't look like they'd hold up to getting wet. Anyone have experience/issues with the walls getting wet?
