X23B tank size....what is true?

I am trying to get the capacities of the tanks.....
I have a 2014 x23b and everything I find literature-wise doesn't match. Even Jayco sites/spec lists vary.....Can anyone help me out here?
I thought I had a 48 gal tank and then I read 25.....other than getting a bucket and figuring it out, I thought one of you 23b owners could shed some light?

What is true? Well, you'll know when it's full and you'll know when it's empty! Not trying to be a smart a** but my #s don't match up either.

looked at a couple sources
Fresh water 48 gals with hot water heater
Gray tank 22.5 gals
Black tank 22.5 gals

Prior to 2014 sizes were different, 2015 is also the same as 2014

You got it and the display panel never worked! I just check the toilet hole and the low point tub for water about my 5th day into camping as a general rule.

Puh-leeez don't get started on the perfect accuracy of the level displays.

I've found the blackwater level jumps to 2/3 full after 2 uses of the toilet then gives reasonable reading after the first full day of boondocking.

I don't bother with the FW reading. The tone of the water pump is much more accurate.

Grey water level? When the shower doesn't drain...

You won't know the useful capacity of your tanks until you completely fill them and then measure how much can be reasonably drawn out.

We also thought we had a 29 gal. tank bye all of our paper work. After filling it up and using it all weekend,it seemed to take forever to empty. We emailed Jayco with our vin# and they confirmed that we had a 49 gal tank.

I've noticed that often the Jayco capacities listed for fresh or potable water include whatever is in the hot water tank.

I feel that including the hot water tank for the overall capacity is a bit unfair in that the hot water tank cannot really be safely emptied unless the heat source is disabled. To make it worse the hot water tank will not fully empty if using the normal system piping.

All in all it makes for pie in the sky optimistic usable capacities.

It's not the gauges that are bad in reading tank levels. It's the probes in the tanks. I replaced mine with the Horst Miracle Probes and my readings have been spot on ever since. I only learned about them because somebody on here lists them in their profile. Thanks whoever you are. Every RV owner should upgrade and all the manufacturers should make them standard.

I also installed the horst probes and glad I did, they are accurate!

Just did a search and found the Horst probes. I'm surprised that they don't cause a problem sticking so far into the tank. Seems like tp might get hung up there.

I have had things stick to the probes a couple of times and had them not register properly. But that is a rare occasion.
