Pierre--- Please post instructions would like to see how we did as compared to the factory, as my son (a welder) spent the better part of a weekend adding 2" sq. tube spacers to my 19H with the torflex axels. Real pain but had to due it to empty the waste tanks into a blue buddy without digging to China. The 19H was bought used (1yr old) so the original owner , a newbe, didn't know about the riser option OH WELL ! Larry

Joe,

Nope, just a few Jay Feather models...., but it doesn't hurt to check your Jay Flight clearance just out of curiosity. Might as well check you leaf spring shackles while your looking, make sure they aren't worn. https://www.jaycoowners.com/showthrea...hackles&page=2

I know this Thread is about a year old but I just joined and I have a 2007 Jay Feather LGT 25Z but I am the second or third owner think this would apply to me? Wonder if I should inform Jayco. Trailer sits low but I never had any problems.

Thanks

You can call/email Jayco with your VIN and they should be able to tell you if your unit is involved in the recall and if so if the work has been done already.

We bought our 2007 Jay Feather 29X LGT in 2010 and were never contacted about the recall. I found out about the recall on the NHTSA website a few months ago and took it to the dealer a couple of weeks ago. We got the TT back a few days ago and there is a considerable height difference. The dealer had to adjust my ball hitch to the maximum setting which lifted the ball 3 1/2 inches. The only real issue I can see so far is that our steps going into the TT are way too high. I will deal with that over the off season. Here are some pics of the work done as a result of the recall.

Had the 30U done last spring and went on 2 short close camp outs and all seemed good. As we were going to tow it down to Disneyland at the end of the summer I decided to Check / adjust the brakes and grease the wheel bearings. Well I pulled off the back passenger wheel and found that the wires to the brakes on that side were not hooked up! Now I might have thought that they just pulled out, BUT, I had to snip the ties holding the wires to the axles to get them to reach. The other side was fine. When I called the service manager I got a "Well if that happened, we are sorry, next time you come in we will do a better job for you." Like I would ever give them that opportunity again.
Big truck, big brakes, ultra light trailer (even if it is 33' long) never noticed I only had half my trailer brakes. Did not go over any passes at that point, glad I found it before I did.
