2022 Greyhawk abs light

We picked up our brand new 2022 Greyhawk MV29 last Tuesday. We live 2 hours away from the dealer. We weren’t 100 miles down the road when the ABS light came on. Contacted the dealer…that’s a Ford problem. Completed a survey from Jayco and were told it is a recall issue. Obviously we are extremely frustrated with a rig in storage that we can’t drive…or can we?

Called Ford dealers to have the recall worked and it sounds like we might have to wait quite some time.

Any suggestions or comments for us?

After we had to call them back today, they will work on it in 2 weeks. They said we could drive it but they don’t recommend it.

Did the dealer get into specifics or give you a trouble code?

They think it is a sensor but weren’t even sure that it is a recall! The cruise control doesn’t work either but they said that is probably related to the ABS light being on.

We have had a Jayco pop up camper for 15 years and love it. We just needed something easier to set up and trusted the Jayco brand. It’s a Ford problem but that doesn’t get us any closer to traveling.

Not to discourage you but you really have not used it enough to identify any others problems yet.
Sure hope you can get it resolved and get on the road soon!

I had a ABS light on a new F350 years ago and it was a stuck caliper. Warranty replaced it. They are just being proactive because it may not mean anything except a sensor but if the calipers stuck, it could get hot and do more damage.

My alarm was intermittent until it was on all the time and I could smell it overheating.
