^^^There was some discussion earlier in this thread that Bauer locks may be included, but apparently that is not the case.

Here is the Fastec Recall Notice...don't think that Bauer and Fastec are related.

Received recall notice. Key number is not listed and key will not come out in 9 o'clock position.
We have a Bauer lock. I guess all is well. Never had any problems with the lock since 2011.
I know that recalls are good and right for safety issues. You think they would get it right the first time.
Locks have been around a long time. Wishing all well with their change out!

Got my recall notice yesterday and mine is part of the recall. sent in my info and it is being taken care of. My buddy has a new to him coachman fifthwheel that you can remove the key at 9,12,3 oclock so I forwarded the recall notice to him as he might have never known about it otherwise. His is also a fastec lock

For those of us that own a hybrid TT, is there another lock recall? This time for the bunk end cylinders?

Here's the link to the Fastec recall with a pic

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my Eagle 284BHS had a Bauer lock with the same key #304 as the Fastec recall, except my key did not have the "HF" preceding the key #. I sent Bauer a video of me taking the key out with the lock in the 9 o'clock position. They they went to check their inventory of #304 locks and could not duplicate the problem.. They then sent me an email asking if I wanted them to replace the lock, and are now sending me a replacement.
So, if you have a Bauer lock and can remove the key in the 9 o'clock position, you can call them or send them an email informing them of the issue.

***UPDATE***

I wanted to let everyone know I contacted Bauer Products Inc., and asked if they were a part of the Fastec recall. I also sent them a link showing them the recall notice.

I got a reply back , directly quoting the representative from Bauer Products Inc. he said "We (Bauer Products Inc.) are NOT part of the Fastec recall."

I am going to post this on the other thread on JOF about the Fastec recall as well

@ThreeButchers thanks for the link to Global. I ordered new locks for the door and all access doors (as i wanted to change out the CH751 keys anyway) and got them all keyed alike. I ordered on Wednesday and they arrived today (Friday). Looks to be an easy swap.

We received the recall notice yesterday, along with a cover letter from Jayco. Thanks for all the posts in this thread to help me sort out what is what for this recall. The Jayco letter clearly states it is the Fastec locks which are involved. We have the Bauer locks. This thread, plus the Jayco letter helped me to put 2 and 2 together. Thanks again!

So is the problem that they can't duplicate, the key being removed in the 9 o'clock position or the Fastec problem of not being able to open the door? We have Bauer locks with a key #303, no letters before it. I checked the lock today but will recheck tomorrow to see about the 9 o'clock issue.

We received the recall letter in our forwarded mail but it doesn't apply to us.

My key says Global Link on it and has a G stamped on the key before the numbers. It came this way brand new from the factory. I also got the recall notice in the mail, and when I tested my key in the lock it worked properly and did not come out at the 9 o'clock position.

I'm reading about everyone having Fastec and Bauer locks and keys - why was mine different? Anyone else have Global Link lock and key from the factory?

I lost my recall letter but was able to pull it up online. We have the brand but not the indicated key numbers.
I checked the dead bolt per the instructions and can not make it fail.

I usually get nailed on these things, I must be living right.

I don't understand how anyone could mistake them. The name is stamped on the outside housing.

For those of you who have requested and received the replacement, how long did it take for the cylinders to arrive in the mail?

Got the letter a while ago. Ours is in storage. We have a pup-up and I was thinking that this type of lock didn't apply to pop ups. Does anyone know.
