Jayco and RVDirect wanted me to get a quote, send quote, wait for approval blah blah blah. Remembered this thread, called Dometic, within two hours a local mobile tech called, all pre-paid and appointment made. Great customer service thus far the tech stated about 30 minutes to perform repair..... Not sure why Jayco calls their lousy service a warranty?

Wanted to update, RV mobile repair came out Monday and replaced per recall. The job took under an hour to complete. On the positive side the awning motor use to sound like it would nearly stall half way in; new motor sounds perfect in and out, not sure if its just a coincidence but its noticeably quicker.

Just an FYI.... You may be able to pull the fuse, but from what i was told... The problem is with a pin internally in the motor that was not put in properly and while driving on the road the pin could rattle out and cause the awning to unroll. The fuse being pulled would not stop this action. But you could use a heavy duty zip tie and zip tie the arms to the bracket attached to the trailer to keep it from unrolling. Sorry, i would have mentioned this earlier but just noticed. I hope most everyone has their new motors by now. On another note, my new motor sounds seems like it at times struggles bringing the awning in and out. I need to call them back regarding this but just haven't had the time.
