Electrical problem-Help
Thanks for the info on the recalls. This brings up the next issue...
Our 30 amp fuse near the jack keeps blowing. We took our 2015 X213 Jayco Jay Feather ultralight back to the dealership because the plug kept tripping when we were hooked up to 30 amp (we have an expensive surge protector), there was a split between the prongs. They replaced the head and noticed the 30 amp fuse tripped and needed a new ground wire. They replaced all and at $600 we thought we were all set. HOW wrong we were!
We picked up the trailer, all worked well, jack went up and down without a problem and off we went. We got to the campsite and everything was dead EVEN with the truck plugged in, we were unable to do anything. Called the dealership, they told us to replace the fuse...the one we just paid to have replaced? They said they could be bad, so we did so and had a great 2 days, all worked find. Went to hook up to leave, all was well, drove home, went to unhook and here we go again, dead as a door nail! Replaced the fuse and were able to unhook but then it blew again when we let the jack back down. The jack wires look fine, the battery (which were also replaced ) look fine, the wires and ground wires are all getting power.... any advice? OH, and we had them check the converter when they worked on it and they said it was fine....so??? Has anyone had this issue and do you have any suggestions before I spend thousands in labor to go through every wire and decide which one it is? Thanks !!
