They must have a newby working at Atwood, not a self-thinker?

I took my silver cover off of my unit today and I can see two blue wires that are wire tied out of the way. I believe that these are the wires they are talking about.
The issue I see for someone, is there is no way, to get in there to wire tie the wires up, without taking the furnace farther apart.

I just checked our Greyhawk 29MVP and there is a wire tie keeping the wires up from the exhaust tube. Actually there is an additional tie further down the wires that hold them to a group of wires.

Just checked our serial # and it's outside the listed range so thankfully we'll be avoiding a trip to the dealer.

Our serial # starts with a "6" so I think we're clear. I really want to pull the outside exhaust cover and inspect to be sure....but don't really want to deal with resealing it.....
****Edit - I couldn’t resist!

I pulled both the vent cover and the main large cover and it sealed back with the lip around the outside. Forgot to take a pic of the inside, sorry.

Just removed the main cover from our Greyhawk 29MVP and our serial number was in the group referenced. There was a white wire tie on the wires holding them together but they could have come in contact with the exhaust tube but it would have been a stretch.(see first pic). I added an additional tie (Black) to hold the wires up a little more securley (see second pic). I believe this will work and I want have to wait until September for my appt with our dealer.

Is the 'main cover' the outside metal plate covering the exhaust?

Sorry, I misread the question regarding the cover. I removed both the small vent cover and the larger heater cover. Once you get the large cover off there is plenty of room to work.
Our RV sits most of the time from May - Aug and we use it in the fall-winter-spring. I was not going to wait until Sept on the dealer to check it and tell us we were fine.
I was never very mechanical but having an RV means you learn to DIY or spend big bucks. It has been fun to learn how many things I can actually do on my own.

Thanks. I'll be checking mine out in few days. Rather DYI than take in when I can. Always takes too long and I trust my work over a shop any day.
You're definitely right about becoming a DYI'r if you have an RV..

Got the same letter. Just want to make sure, the concern is only that the wires are out of the way and not touching the exhaust?

Took mine apart today and the wires were not touching the exhaust, but perhaps 1/2" away. Once I started fiddling with the wires to see the best way to tie up, they were laying on the exhaust. Verified SN matched the recall. I just tied up with a few zip ties. Below are some pics. Pretty easy job, about 15 minutes. 4 screws for the metal exhaust and 6 screws for the plastic cover. No existing caulk sealant around pieces removed so none added when I put it back together.

My 2 blue wires are laying flat on the pipe and right behind that is the OK inspection stamp. This must be Atwoods first furnace brand new trailer.....There is no way the fix they sent out is going to work the instructions are backwards. Very unhappy camper trip to Colorado...............
