Greyhawk Recalls
We have a 2018 Greyhawk 29MV that we love. It has 2 recalls that I am aware of. The crank pulley bolt and the leveler pump bracket needed beefed up. Are there any more? For those of you near Chattanooga TN, Lee Smith Service is great! Fixed both of these recalls as well as re aligned the drive shaft where some shims had been left out and the pinion angle was wrong.

Ronnie,
Our 2018 29MV was delivered about 2 weeks ago and there were no notices or information from the dealer or Jayco about any recalls. I did some searching on-line and the most recent Greyhawk recall I could find was from 9/2017 as follows:
"Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Greyhawk motorhomes, model 29ME. Damage to the liquid propane (LP) line can occur by the line being melted by the vehicle's exhaust pipe, contacting the drive shaft, or being kinked at the p-clamp."
If you could provide any additional information on these recalls, it would be greatly appreciated.

We knew about the hydraulic pump fix, but haven't heard about the 'crank pulley bolt' issue - details?

If someone could describe the fix for the hydraulic pump, or reference a document, that would be helpful. And also that crank pulley bolt issue information would be good. Might it be possible for someone to post those TSB recall bulletins here ?

The number for the hydraulic pump problem is TSB #17-011.I have no more info on what the fix looks like. I would also be interested in what it looks like.

I called Jayco Monday morning and asked about TSB 17-011. Yes, there is/was an issue with the bracket and with a pulley bolt, but it has been resolved. You need to give Jayco Owner Relations the last 8 digits of your VIN and they will tell you if the problems were corrected when your coach was built or if yours needs repairs. Both of the issues were fixed prior to ours being built, and there are no outstanding TSB's at the present time for us.

recalls
From what I saw the pully bolt was loosened and retighten to correct torque. The bracket was beefed up to hold more weight.

The bracket on mine broke today. I will be calling tomorrow to figure out how to get it fixed.

Boy you drug up an old one here...this thread was from last year. But problems still exist if the recalls haven't been done.
Are you the original owners? Did you not get a notice from Jayco?

Well that stinks! These recalls all happened almost a year ago and cover coaches built before that.
I know the fix was a new beefed up mount. I would be sure and have the pulley bolt torque recall checked too.

What pulley bolt are you referring to? I have a 2017 Greyhawk.

According to this chart, if I am reading it right, the 2016-17 E 450 series does not fall into this problem situation. Am I correct?

Look closer...all E series! They just didn’t specify because it included all. The chart got kinda messed up when it was copied.
I know for a fact several on this forum had this recall done on their Greyhawk/Redhawks.
Here’s a better view of the recall chart. Notice it shows all E’s. Sorry for the confusion!

This would be a Ford recall and not Jayco .... correct? I never received anything on this. My coach is a 2017, but the chassis is a 2016. There is a date written in a Sharpie pen under the hood and I assume it is the date it was put into service by Jayco. I’ll have to research my VIN build date and find out if it is affected.

Look on your drivers door pillar. You will see some stickers with vehicle information. One is Fords and one is Jayco. The Ford one has your chassis build date. The Jayco one has the coach build date. They will be different. Several months probably. Here are mine. Notice my chassis was built 9/2017 but coach was built 11/2017.
Yes, this is a Ford recall. If your Ford build date is before 9/2016 you may be OK. If after then you fall in the recall. I would call Jayco just to be sure. They can run your VIN# and tell you. Hope that helps!

Just called Jayco motor home customer service, 800-517-9137. They looked me up by my registered last name and saw that my dealer had already done the recall fix before we picked up our unit so... whew!
