I returned mine yesterday and got a $49.00 store credit. I bought them about a year ago when they were on sale, plus used the 20% off coupon. I think the price I paid was about 30 something so I made out little bit. No receipt or box required. They don't have any jack stands for sale at all, so I need to find a good replacement. Amazon has some, but the reviews aren't good.

I only used mine once on my trailer and they worked great. Not sure how they were failing, but I would hate it if the trailer fell to the ground...especially with me under it...

Well crap, I have the 6 tons in my cargo trailer as we speak. I’ve used them to change the bearings in the camper and work on the Suburbans brakes.

Those type of jacks have always concerned me, after playing with the locking lever. The ONLY ones I'll ever trust (besides wood blocking) is the type with a push through steel pin or bolt.

I have 2 - 6 ton from there but neither have that number. I have used them quite a few times. I also have a couple of screw type house jacks.

I am always careful that they are locked in place when a load is on them.

Having almost died from a accident 15 years ago, I am very careful what I crawl under. Never a trailer supported by anything but solid blocks.

Well, now Harbor Freight is recalling the jack stands that were sent out to replace the first defective jack stands..

....."Customers were asked to return the stands in exchange for a gift card, and affected units were pulled from shelves. Now, Harbor Freight has had to announce a second recall, covering the new jack stands that many folks purchased to replace those covered by the initial recall."

NAPA sells jack stands... as well as other reputable establishments.. once people figure out their life is worth more than $40 bucks they will spend more... or maybe theirs isn't but mine is....
