Jeep Grand Cherokee N23 Recall - Transfer Case
Beware of the Jeep GC N23 Recall for reflashing the control module for the Transfer Case. Had to have it done twice. First reflash by the dealer left us unable to shift Transfer Case into Neutral. Very upsetting. Took it back today and all is OK. It cost $0.00, zip, zero, nothing.
It's a Safety Recall to prevent the Transfer Case from shifting into Neutral all on it's own and rolling (without hand brake being set).
Other Forum members have spent $$$ on new actuators, old control modules, removing fuses, disconnecting the battery,....etc, trying to fix the problem.
