We're lucky in that we heard about the recall and bought one before the letter came out. We couldn't wait, because we had to hit the road.

But if I was in that situation now, I would just buy an American made single tank regulator and work with that until American made auto switchovers are available again.

Something like this- https://www.amazon.com/Marshall-Exce...1240197&sr=8-3

(You have to be careful if you're trying to buy American. I noticed in the latest Marshall catalog, some items say "made in USA" some say "TESTED in USA")

I would also check and see if you have a Winntec model #6020 with a N 17 XX, N 18 XX, or a N 19 XX manufactured date stamped on it. If you do, I would then contact Jayco and advise them of your change in address status.

Bob
Thanks for that Bob!
The VIN range shows ---VIN Range 1 : Begin : 1UJCJ0BU3L1RU0219 End : 1UJCJSCVXL1LD0073

My VIN is ---1UJBJ - so I am thinking I am ok. I do have the model described and have been using it for 1 1/2 yrs with no problems.
Sooooo.....??

As long as your Winntec 6020 manufacture's date doesn't match those of the recall, then IMO you should be fine.

I would send an email to Jayco directly with you VIN and tell them you have a regulator with the model and date codes covered under the recall. They should be able to tell you pretty quickly

My VIN, too, was UJB... I checked the date code and it was built in 2016, so mine was not included. My Jayco dealer verified and cleared the VIN with them. Here’s what the date code looks like.

Regulator recall DONE!

Had my recalled regulator replaced today by dealer, they called last week saying parts were in. Surprised is an understatement! Hoses are USA made, regulator is a Cavagna Group 924N, I'm guessing Italy.

I believe my 17 was made right before the recall and has a 2016 6020 regulator on it. Should I swap it anyways even if it is not part of the recall?

My trailer is exempt, but I was talking with the service mnger at my local Jayco dealer last week and he told me they had 130 on the wait list and not a clue as to when they could see the first replacement regulator from Jayco. He said that if it was him, he'd hit the interweb, buy one and put it in himself and move on with life.

So not sure where you've been looking, but here: https://www.amazon.com/rv-propane-re...gulator+2+tank

Lots of them for sale.

Yeah not trying to go through the dealer.....I have looked all over online, nothing!
If you look at the link you sent and click on any regulator listed it says available soon.

Tom Andrews - 2020 Jayco Eagle HT 264BHOK

I had issues with my propane last winter - Dealer found nothing wrong. During a spring trip, I had additional issues and replaced it myself. I did not keep the parts so the dealer is saying they can’t reimburse me. Guess fixed is better then waiting on parts.

I asked for it to be escalated, and after a few days of nothing, they wrote back saying that they had agreed to cover the expenses (I had had the dealer do the work as per the early copy of the recall notice I had found on the NHTS site). They asked for a W9 (I had heard them asking for this on another site, so I was prepared). I filled in a W8 (as I am in Canada and have had to do that a few times for various reasons), attached the dealer's invoice and sent it off.

And now I wait...
And today my refund check came in the mail. Relatively painless...

I agree with replacing it yourself. Unless you are right next to auto a dealer and they have the parts. My white hawk is sitting on 8 inches of crusher run and cinderblocks with the tires off price and level. So it’s not an option for me to take To the dealer which is an hour and a half away just looking to see what’s the best or just as good American made to stage regulator

I can only find 2 US manufacturers- Marshall Excelsior and MB Sturgis. I bought the Marshal Excelsior. It says made in USA, but be careful- in the newest catalog, some products say Made in USA others say "Tested" in USA.

I just purchased a Camco 59002 with 2. 12 inch pigtails from my dealer only because I had a gift certificate. I have this upcoming weekend and then I close my camper for the season. so over the winter I will research and look for a better US-made propane regulator

I replaced mine with a Marshall Excelsior MEGR253P. I had to buy the mounting bracket separately.

Thumbs up Regulator Recall

Have a 17 Jayco 23RB. Our regulator died two years ago in Biloxi, MS. Started blowing gas out the bottom. Got one at Camping World for a trillion bucks. Put it on, no problems since.
