I did not keep my DTNA account up to date, and they deleted my account when I was out on the road... so I can't log into that site.

Slopoke,
Go to Cummins quick service: https://quickserve.cummins.com
great site if you are not signed up. Manuals, fault codes, recalls.

Cheers

Asks for a username and password of which I do not have. It says I should use a email address of firstname.lastname@Cummins.com

Cummins Registration

Slopoke,
I signed up at this page: https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/...ion_plans.html

Limited Owners Plan is free. You will have to enter your cummins engine serial number for access. This will then key to manuals etc.

Good luck.

Just made my appt. to reprogram ECM to add 20 HP and 100 lbs of torque. They informed me of the emissions issue and told me they should do this at the same time. Dropping it off Monday. They could not tell me how long it would take. Hope it is done by 19 Aug. Leaving for a two week trip that day.

Dropped mine off on a Monday, had it back on Thursday. I hope your dealer is as fast! Are you getting the transmission done too?

I am in the midst of my first New England trip since having both engine and transmission done and I couldn't be happier with how it performs. Came across I-80 in PA and maintained the speed limit 90+% of the time, before it was maybe 75%. That is with the toad too. And when it does slow it never dropped below 60 unless there was traffic obstructing me.

If you are referring to the transmission reprogram it has to be done at an Allison authorized facility, some Freightliner dealers can do it. Our units were initially programmed with an ultra economy shift schedule. Allison can put in a performance schedule and it really improves the driving experience. Along with the power increase you will likely be very pleased. A copy of my Allison invoice is attached in case you want to reference it.

Calling to set this up as well. Understand Emissions is covered but what is cost for ECM reprogram?

If your Cummins is out of warranty (5 years from original in-service date) then the cost is less, I attached my Cummins invoice to give you an idea. If you are still in warranty your Cummins shop may tack on a substantial upcharge. It could be a $400 or more increase.

Nice! Seems totally worth it. Same power as the latest units.

Dropped off my 2015 37ts with Cummins his morning. Its a late 2014 production date. I am hoping to also get the update to 360HP&800Lbs of Torque

Cummins recalling half a million engines on voluntary basis due to degradation of emissions-control systems

I dropped off my 2015 37ts at Cummins this past Monday. They are performing the SCR field campaign and also upgrading the engine control software to 360hp/800lbs of torque. I will pick it up early next week. I hope the power upgrade is noticeable(?).

If your rig slows down quite a bit on interstate grades and won't seem to downshift to 5th readily, and then (eventually) downshifts to 4th gear, you may have transmission programming like mine originally did. A number of earlier M2 Senecas got mistakenly programmed with an "ultra economy" shift schedule.

After getting my transmission reprogrammed to give it a performance shift schedule it is much, much better. Now on grades it will downshift to 5th and maintain road speed unless it is a long, steep grade. Even on those long grades it will still hold about 60 where before it was 50mph or less. Coupled with the HP/Torque upgrade it is like a different rig on the highway.

Just picked up my 2015 Seneca form Cummins. They performed the SCR field campaign which includes a new SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction or just a big Nox Converter) and an update to the engine software. On the way home the tail pipe decoupled from the back of the SCR, it appears they only hand tightened the clamp. I also had them update the PCM to 360hp/800lbs of torque and all be it a small improvement I did notice it.
