I'm a terrible traveler; however, we travel all over the U.S. with our TT. Last fall we travelled 2,300 miles as I kept my eyes open for everything that might kill us on the road. As we finally pulled into our friend's very long driveway where we would moochdock for hubby's class reunion, I finally sat back and relaxed. He then clipped a tree ripping the awning arms so that they dangled. Dang it anyway! We were fortunate that an RV tech made a house call, removed the arms that were trashed and told us to keep the awning that was still good. Hubby's classmates had a good chuckle at our road trip story, and our wonderful Jayco dealership repaired the awning upon returning home.

Mine was a narrow, tree lined, state park. Coming into a curve another truck was heading my way. Moving over I cleared the tree by 6 inches. What I couldn't see was at about 10' up the tree curved out over the road. I barely clipped my awning.

The new one sure does look nice. $500 deductible.
