2010 electric brake issues

Could someone have left the break away switch activated for a long period of time? That is about the only thing I can think of.

no, the only time the break away switch was disconnected was when I was checking for an amp reading.

Well what I was thinking is that it was done by the previous owner. Do you know for sure they ever worked with the old controller?

yes, the brakes worked with the voyager controller until I was leaving Desota Falls campground in Ala.. I was going to adjust the gain and moved the level knob by mistake. I returned to South Carolina with hardly any camper brakes. That is why I replaced the voyager.

A guess here. When you wore the breaks down, the magnets were worn down also. Only a guess.

the magnets have 4 shallow holes which serve as wear indicators. They show hardly any wear. The brakes have proberly less than 2000 miles on them.
