2015 Pinnacle FLFS Issues

We are wondering if anyone is having the same issues we are. Faucet In Kitchen drips while trailering. Inverter for refrigerator does not have enough battery power to last overnight while dry camping. The refrigerator is a big problem. We love the fridge but we had our honda 3000 running all day yesterday to charge the batteries and the fridge crapped out again this morning.

I might be missing something or just am not knowledgeable about a Pinnacle.

Inverter running the refrigerator doesn't sound right. Are you using an inverter to power the refrigerator ELECTRICALLY? If that is so that would explain the rapid battery discharge and refrigerator quitting.

The refrigerator should be run on propane when not on shore power. Only a small amount of battery power is needed to run the refrigerator control board.

Update: I just looked up the Pinnacle on the Jayco website. Apparently it uses a residential refrigerator. Those will not run on propane. My take on the Pinnacle is it is intended to hook up to shore power at all times except when being towed. Then the tow vehicle can supply the power for the inverter. The Pinnacle was never intended to dry camp.

Looks like Jayco made the residential refer standard in their 2015 Pinnacle models...not sure why but glad we have what we do.

This RV is not designed for boondocking.. the only way around this I can see is adding more batteries.. (pairs of 6's not 12's)

We are looking at the 2015 Pinnacle, any one else have problems with the refrigerator running the batteries down? We don't often dry camp, but an overnight in a Walmart parking lot is not unusual.

I would say there is a better than even chance that your battery would be dead by morning. AND...if it is still electrically connected to your tow vehicle all night its battery could be dead as well. A Pinnacle needs power....and lots of it!

I would agree that set up is not for boondocking. Some on here have lots of experience adding solar and extra batteries so hopefully some helpful solutions will be suggested.

We had two 12 volt batteries. We switched to two 6 volt. Jayco actually recommends 4 six volt batteries. Will keep you updated as to how this works out. For those of you that do not know, the 2015 Jayco has a refrigerator that does not run on propane. We dry camp several times a year, hopefully the battery change works out. Unfortunately we weren't aware of this before we bought the trailer so we will have to figure out a way to make it work. We appreciate all your suggestions!!

I have a 2012 Pinnacle with the same faucet drip- had it every since I got the Unit brand new. I was told that pressure in the water system causes this, and haven't had any suggestions yet to remedy the problem.

west0911, we even made sure there was no water in the line the last time we closed it up and there was still water on the counter. So frustrating! We put a piece of Velcro around the faucet and the handle thinking the handle may be loose, but still no change. The dealer is going to swap it for a new faucet, but I wonder if the faucet is really the problem.
